Kaldurg Fort stands east of Palghar in the Sahyadri hills of the northern Konkan, at a height of at least 475 metres. Its rectangular outline makes it easy to pick out from a distance.
From the top the view takes in the Arabian Sea and the town of Palghar to the west and the Surya River to the east. A rectangular rock divides the fort into an upper and a lower part, joined by a few steps. No signs or markers explain its history.
