The story

JRD Tata Jubilee Park, often just called Tata Park, lies in the Gumadera area of Belpahar in Jharsuguda district, Odisha. Originally named Jubilee Park, it honours the memory of JRD Tata, whose statue stands at its centre. It was renewed and reopened on 3 March 2017 by Priyabrata Panda, the managing director of TRL Krosaki Refractories Limited.

The park is planted with a wide range of fragrant flowers. A fish pond, fed by a stream-like flow of water, holds fish, turtles and ducks, and a water fountain and a musical path draw many visitors in the evening. In the mornings people come to jog, practise yoga and exercise. There are fitness equipment and games for children, seating, CCTV cameras and security guards, and families travel from some distance to spend time here.
