Gurdwara Nanakmatta Sahib, also called Gurdwara Nanak Mata Sahib, is the Sikh pilgrimage site that gives the town of Nanakmatta in Uttarakhand its name. According to Sikh tradition, the place was once known as Gorakhmata, a centre of the Siddh-jogis named after Gorakhnath, founder of their order. It took the name Nanakmatta after Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism, came here and discussed religion, a visit described in the Siddh-Gost of the Guru Granth Sahib.
The gurdwara lies on the bank of the Deoha stream, which has been dammed to form a reservoir called Nanak Sagar.
