Panwali Kantha Bugyal is a high Himalayan meadow, or bugyal, in Tehri Garhwal district, lying at an average height of about 3,368 metres and some 90 km from New Tehri. It is a broad stretch of grassland visited mainly by trekkers and hikers, and the route up is well kept, climbing through forests of rhododendron, oak and deodar.
Trails reach the meadow from Uttarkashi on the Gangotri side and from Trijuginarayan on the Kedarnath side, and it can also be approached from Ghuttu village, about 30 km from Ghansali. The grass turns green across the meadow in the monsoon, red and pink rhododendrons line the path in April and May, and in winter snow covers the whole bugyal. From the top there are views of the Char Dham ranges.
