The story

Gandhari Amman Kovil is a Hindu temple at Mele Thampanoor in Thiruvananthapuram, roughly one and a half kilometres from the city's central railway station at Thampanoor. Its principal deity is the goddess Gandhari Amman.

Around the main shrine, the temple complex also holds a number of small shrines, dedicated to Ganesha, Muruga, the serpent deities, Bhairavar, the Navagrahas and Manthramurthi. Chithra Poornima, celebrated in May, is the main festival of the year.
