Foy Sagar is an artificial lake in Ajmer district, created in 1892 by an English engineer named Foy as part of a famine relief project and named after him. An inscription at the lake refers to the city by its old name, Ajaymeru. The lake was built to hold 15 million cubic feet of water, spread over about 14 million square feet. On 12 February 2025 it was renamed Varun Sagar by Vasudev Devnani, the Ajmer North MLA and Speaker of the state assembly.
The lake appears flat and has views of the nearby Aravalli hills, and it is counted among the tourist spots of Ajmer.
