The story

Corbyn's Cove is a crescent-shaped beach a short distance south of Sri Vijaya Puram, edged with coconut palms and backed by green hills, facing the open Bay of Bengal. The palms shade the sand, and the calm, clear water is used for swimming.

Being so close to the city, the cove has long been a regular outing for residents as well as visitors. The beach is kept clean, has modern facilities that suit families, and is known for its sunsets over the sea.
