01 — The story

The story

Big Foot Museum, in the village of Loutolim, is a combined museum and theme park in south Goa, and its theme is the rural life of Goa. The artist Maendra Alvares founded it and runs it, and it is privately owned.

The heart of the place is a Goan village recreated in miniature, showing how people in the countryside lived in earlier times. The same campus also houses the Left-Hander Museum, which bills itself as world-famous.
