Bhuchar Mori is a plateau about 2 km north-west of Dhrol, some 50 km north of Rajkot in Gujarat. In July 1591 it saw the Battle of Bhuchar Mori, when a Kathiawar army led by Nawanagar fought the Mughals to protect Muzaffar Shah III, last Sultan of Gujarat, who had sought refuge with Jam Sataji. Junagadh's forces switched sides, and the Mughals won after heavy losses on both sides. Considered the largest battle in Saurashtra's history, it is often called the Panipat of Saurashtra.
The memorial site, a state protected monument, centres on a shrine built by Jam Vibhaji over the paliya, or memorial stone, of Ajaji, shown on horseback; a 16th-century painting inside shows him attacking Mirza Aziz Koka on an elephant. Thirty-two memorials stand in and around the compound, along with eight tombs of Mughal soldiers, a well and a mosque. A new memorial with a statue of Ajaji was completed in 2015. Thousands attend the annual fair on Shraavana Vad Amavasya in July or August.
