The story

Abdulla Pir Dargah, sometimes called the Abdul Rasul dargah, is a Sufi shrine in Banswara in southern Rajasthan. It honours Hazrat Abdul Rasul Shaheed Pir Sahab, a saint remembered for teaching love, unity and humility, and is especially sacred to the Bohra Muslim community, though people of all faiths visit.

The tomb is built wholly of white marble under a dome, with carved arches and four entrances facing the four directions, and it is surrounded by kept gardens with places to sit. The annual Urs lasts six days and brings thousands of pilgrims from across India, with qawwali performed through the evenings. Banswara, called the City of a Hundred Islands for the islets the Mahi river forms in the monsoon, also offers Anand Sagar and Dialab lakes and the old temples of Arthuna.
