Valanjanganam Falls, called Valanjanganam Vellachaattam or Ninnumullipara Vellachattam by local people, is a waterfall in the Peermade area of Idukki district. It sits right beside National Highway 183, the road linking Kottayam and Kumily, roughly a kilometre from Murinjapuzha and some 5 km from Kuttikkanam.
Because the water comes down so close to the highway, many travellers pull over here. Most break the drive with a cup of tea while they look at the falls, and the spot serves as a short rest and a chance to stretch the legs during a long road journey.
