01 — The story

The story

Tularam Cave is a cave system in Dima Hasao district. It gave refuge in hard times to Sengya Tularam Senapati, a military commander who fought against British occupation.

Inside, a maze of dark chambers and rough passages has been shaped over centuries by running water and shifting rock. Stalactites and stalagmites hang from the ceilings and rise from the floors, and the sound of dripping water echoes through the dim interior, giving the passages a strong sense of exploration for those who venture through them.
