01 — The story
The story
Solang Valley lies in the Kullu Valley about 13 km from Manali, surrounded by snow peaks and green slopes. Its other name, Solang Nullah, joins Solang, a nearby village, with nullah, a word for a stream.
The valley changes character with the seasons. Snow turns its slopes into ski runs in winter, while in summer the meadows are used for paragliding, zorbing and ATV rides. A ropeway carries passengers above the valley for views from the air.
