The story
The Sanskar Kendra City Museum is devoted to the story of Ahmedabad. Its displays follow the history, culture, economy and politics of the city through art, artefacts and old documents that have survived the centuries.
The collection reaches back to a time before the city carried its present name. Exhibits begin in the 11th century, when the settlement was known as Ashval, and move forward to show how it grew and changed over the following centuries into the city of today.
