The Radha Madhab (Radha Madhav) Temple in Bishnupur, West Bengal, is dedicated to Radha and Krishna. According to an inscribed plaque, Churamoni, wife of the Mallabhum king Bir Singha Dev, founded it in 1737. It follows the ek-ratna style on a square plan about 11.1 m along each side, and rises to 9.2 m.
Three arches open the porch. Around the plinth runs a band of fine carving showing birds, animals and Puranic tales, and two rows of reliefs fill the side walls and lower cornice, with more on the arches and pillars. Scenes from the Krishna Lila dominate, along with Dasavatara panels and floral patterns. Beside the temple stands its bhoga-mandapa, a do-chala structure and the only building of that type in Bishnupur.
