The story

Natesan Park is a public park on Venkatanarayana Road in T. Nagar, Chennai. Covering 4 acres, it was opened on 13 September 1950 by A. B. Shetty, then Minister of Agriculture. It is the only park run by the Chennai Corporation with its own tennis court for coaching children.

Local residents come here for morning walks, and there is also a children's play zone and a plant propagation centre. The planting mixes ornamental shrubs such as croton, aralia, bougainvillea and acalypha with trees including mahogany, neem, gulmohar, Cassia fistula, pungam, palms, the peepal and Thespesia.
