Mussoorie Lake is a small body of water in the hills around Mussoorie, enclosed by thick forest and higher ridges. Visitors come for rowing and paddleboat rides, picnics on the grassy shore and walks along the paths that circle it.
The woods on the surrounding slopes hold deodar and rhododendron, and the wildlife reported here includes langurs, barking deer and, more rarely, leopards. Birdlife is varied, and trails leading away from the water can be covered on foot or on horseback.
