01 — About

About Manginapudi Beach

Manginapudi Beach lies about 11 km from Machilipatnam in Krishna district and is also known as Bandar Beach. Its history is tied to the period when Machilipatnam was a major port: the site served as a natural harbour for trade along the east coast, and the area is linked with Dutch colonial rule.

The beach is broad and open, with mild waves and shallow water, and fishermen can often be seen at work along the shore. Water sports are offered, and a fish market close by sells fresh fish, crabs and prawns at fairly low prices.
