The story

Maner Sharif, in Patna district, is a Sufi shrine complex of great importance to Muslims across India. It contains two tombs: the Bari Dargah, burial place of Hazrat Makhdum Yahya Maneri, and the Chhoti Dargah, where Makhdum Shah Daulat lies. The site was also long a centre of learning.

The Chhoti Dargah has a large dome covered with carved verses from the Quran, and the complex has tall minarets, fine engraving and gardens planted with unusual flowers. Pilgrims from many parts of the country visit both tombs.
