Kanika Palace stands near the town of Rajkanika in Odisha, about 125 km from Bhubaneswar. One of its floors has been turned into a museum, which holds a crocodile skeleton described as the biggest in the world.
Several other sights are listed as lying near the palace: Aali Palace, Bhitarkanika National Park, the Lakhmi Varaha Temple and the Akhandalamani Temple, so a visit can be combined with time in the wider area.
