Kalyanasundareswarar Temple is a Shiva temple at Thiruvelvikudi in Kuthalam taluk, Mayiladuthurai district, and is counted among the temples on the banks of the Kaveri. The presiding deity is Kalyanasundareswarar and his consort Parimala Sugantha Nayaki.
Sambandar and Sundarar both composed Thevaram hymns in praise of the temple, and Sundarar is believed to have bathed in its Agni Theertham to cure himself. Tradition also holds that it was here that Shiva gave half of his body to Parvathi, so Thiruvelvikudi is regarded as the birthplace of the Ardhanarisvara cult.
