The story

Gurudwara Gobind Ghat, also called Kangan Ghat, lies close to Takht Sri Harmandir Ji Patna Sahib. It marks the place where Pandit Shiv Dutt, a devotee of Rama, is said to have had a vision of Gobind Rai, who later became Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru.

The second name comes from a story of Gobind Rai as a boy casting a gold bangle into the water to show that he set no store by possessions. The shrine is a modest single room, and the river has since shifted its course away from it.
