Galgibaga, also spelt Galgibagh, is a beach in the Canacona area of Goa's Kushavati district, about 7 km by road from Palolem Beach. It is counted among India's cleanest and less familiar beaches and is quiet compared with other Goan beaches.
Galgibaga is one of three officially designated nesting sites in Goa for Olive Ridley turtles, alongside Agonda and Morjim, and is under the Forest Department, which brings in seasonal restrictions to protect the nests. Nesting usually happens in winter, with the first turtles often seen around December or January. Because of this, building near the beach has stayed limited and places to stay are few and small. Visitors are expected to avoid bright lights and noise during the nesting season.
