The story

Dhyan Kaksh in Faridabad, about 18 km from South Delhi, is a meditation centre opened by the Satyug Darshan Trust in 2014 and also called the School of Equanimity and Even-Sightedness. The approach passes through seven gates, each standing for a virtue: truthfulness, contentment, righteousness, endurance, selflessness, equanimity and benevolence.

The double-domed hall rises out of a pool and is reached across a marble bridge. Inside, more than one lakh crystals hang among gold-plated leaves, and a ring shaped like the sun is suspended above a central flame. Entry is free and guided meditation sessions are held, with larger gatherings on Ram Navami, World Equanimity Day and Humanity Fest.
