Dholi Dhaja Dam crosses the Bhogavo River on the west side of Surendranagar, within the urban area of the Surendranagar Dudhrej Municipality in Gujarat. It supplies drinking and other water to between 300,000 and 400,000 people in Surendranagar, Wadhwan, Joravarnagar and Ratanpar.
On 26 January 2010 the then Chief Minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi, announced that the dam would be developed for tourism. Some 60,000 trees have since been planted around it, and it has grown into a good spot for picnics. It can be reached by the Muli Highway or by the Dalmill–Khamisana Road.
